The Love of the Father: Genesis 3:1-7

The puritan John Owen wrote, “The greatest sorrow and burden you can lay on the Father, the greatest unkindness you can do to him is not to believe that he loves you.”

As we continue our series on ‘Walking with God’ we focus on the Triune shape of our communion with God. So for the Christian, the Father is mediated to us in love. We naturally find this very hard to believe. Satan would have us sceptical of his love and goodness. But as we look at the life of the Trinity, and the work of redemption, we have all the evidence we need of his love.
