We continue our series in Exodus beginning in chapter 25 discussing the tabernacle.
God has brought his people out of Egypt and up to the mountain. His desire is to dwell amongst His people so that they may worship Him. What follows in this final section is God’s instruction to the people on the kind of home ‘fit for a king’ – one that is holy, sacred and at the centre of their worship. Filled with details that dazzle, symbolism and shadows, the tabernacle points forward to a picture of heaven and the person of Jesus. Through careful reflection and awe-filled application, we can see how God’s people get to enjoy the nearness of God’s presence amongst us today as His church.
