In this age, certainty about the resurrection of Jesus and all that means for us cannot come from our sight. That’s because between his ascension and return we do not have the physical presence of Jesus. But Luke records the story of the Emmaus Road that first Easter Sunday to teach us that now we can see Jesus through the eyes of faith on the pages of Scripture - all of which bears witness to Him. That’s where certainty, hope, comfort and faith in the risen Saviour can be found.
