In the upper room, Jesus senses that the hearts of the disciples are troubled. In kindness, Jesus turns to offer them comfort, even while he himself is troubled in spirit. He does not simply make their circumstances less troubling, but rather reminds them of the home he is preparing for them in heaven; that they know the way there because they know him; and he reveals the Father to them. There is great comfort for our own troubled hearts in these verses.
